Milnthorpe

Stroll your way over to Milnthorpe. A medieval market town, Milnthorpe is all pretty cottages and narrow streets. The heart of the town is of course its bustling market square with a range of eateries and shops. Try and pop down for the street market every Friday or if you’re lucky enough, visit the Farmers market on the second Friday of each month. Just beyond the village is Levens Hall, an Elizabethan house with luscious gardens.

Lakeland Wildlife Oasis

For the animal lovers, Lakeland Wildlife Oasis is only a 15-minute walk from your door! Admire creepy crawlies, majestic snow leopards and cheeky lemurs to your heart’s content. If you fancy getting up close and personal, why not book an hour one-on-one Meet the Carnivores experience? Feed the snow leopards, train fossa and take selfies with the meerkats – you’ll almost forget you’re in England….
